The length of the heat shrink tubing is 40, 80 and 85 mm and the shrink ratio of the products is 2 to 1. The total of 127 pieces are packed in a plastic box. Sizes This product offers a choice of 7 different sizes. The box contains 30 pieces with a diameter of 2 millimeters, 30 pieces with a diameter of 2.5 millimeters, 20 pieces with a diameter of 3.5 millimeters, 20 pieces with a diameter of 5.0 millimeters, 16 pieces with a diameter of 7.0 millimeters, 8 pieces with a diameter of 10 millimeters and 8 pieces with a diameter of 13 millimeters. When heated, for example by a gas torch, the tubing shrinks in diameter but not in length. Connections are thus tightly enclosed, held together and often insulated by the shrinking process. Technical information Unlike, for example, shrink film, heat shrink tubing only shrinks in diameter and not in length. This flexible tubing is therefore usually made of polymer plastic, almost always PVC, and during shrinking, this material completely conforms to the shape it encloses. Problems around connections with parts of unequal diameter or other irregularities are thus avoided. An example of this is a solder connection of a power wire to a solder lug that has different dimensions than the power cable. Finally, there are different shrink ratios. These are expressed in the diameter before shrinking and the diameter that can be achieved after shrinking. The most common ratio is 2:1.
