A fully continuous wire connection for all types of wires from 0.2 to 4 mm² – unsurpassed in simplicity, speed, and reliability – that's what the new 221 Series in-line splice connector with lever stands for. It combines all the familiar advantages of the 221 Series connection terminals in a sleek design: a universal cable connection that, thanks to lever technology, can be used completely tool-free and offers a visibly reliable conductor connection. For multi-pole installations, adapters are available, giving users individual degrees of freedom to flexibly and modularly configure up to five fixed poles within a single adapter, with or without strain relief, on DIN rails, screwed, glued, tied, or suspended. As a universal connection method, the 221 Series in-line splice connector thus not only improves known installation applications with limited space but also opens up numerous new ones: for example, laboratory and test setups and production test setups, lamp connections in suspended ceilings, extension of speaker cables, as well as junction boxes in industrial applications. The in-line splice connector is available in two variants, both of which have EN and UL approvals: in the version with a transparent cover for cable diameters from 0.2 to 4 mm for all common applications and in the version with a white cover, mainly used in North America, for the extended connection range with AWG-12 cables.
