The antenna is used in situations where equipment with an SMA connection needs an external antenna. The version with an SMA male connector, an omnidirectional radiation pattern, and a gain of 2 dBi is suitable for use in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN networks, including 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n. This allows the antenna to be used with routers, access points, and wireless network equipment. The integrated tilt joint allows the antenna to be precisely positioned in fixed installations.
