HDMI-A male to VGA female Adapter – active – WUXGA This adapter is designed to connect a device with an HDMI output to a VGA monitor or projector. The digital HDMI video signal is actively converted by the adapter to an analog VGA signal. The adapter only supports video transmission and does not output audio. Signal direction (important) The signal direction is fixed and unidirectional: HDMI source → adapter → VGA display. Use in the reverse direction (VGA to HDMI) is not possible. Application The adapter is used to connect systems with an HDMI output, such as computers, laptops, or media players, to displays or projectors that only have a VGA input. The adapter supports one VGA monitor at a time. Signal conversion The adapter contains an active chipset that converts the digital HDMI video signal to analog VGA video. This conversion takes place entirely within the adapter and does not require support for analog video output from the source device. Image and video support Supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1200 @ 60 Hz (WUXGA). The actual achievable resolution depends on the connected source device and the VGA display. HDMI specification Supports High Speed HDMI with Ethernet (HEC). The Ethernet functionality is not used with VGA output. Design The adapter is made of plastic with internal metal shielding.
