The panel is equipped with 24 LC Duplex fiber optic couplers and is used as a passive connection point for fiber optic connections with a medium fiber density. Application This front panel is used within a 19-inch splice box to neatly terminate and connect spliced optical fibers. The LC Duplex couplers allow two separate optical fibers per port to be managed within a compact rack setup. Construction and properties The panel consists of a metal front plate with integrated LC Duplex couplers. The couplers are equipped with a zirconia ceramic ferrule for precise alignment of optical fiber cores. Protective caps prevent contamination and damage to unused connections.
