Abi 8-port patch panel

This is a CAT6 patch panel for the central termination and patching of 8 network connections within a compact network setup. The patch panel is equipped with 8 LSA connections on the rear and 8 RJ45 connections on the front and has a height of 1U. The construction features electromagnetic shielding and a metal housing for stable signal transmission. This patch panel is used to centrally terminate fixed network cables and neatly patch them to active network equipment such as switches or routers. The LSA connection technology allows for the connection of solid and stranded wires without soldering or screwing. Mounting is possible in a 10-inch rack, but wall or desktop mounting is also suitable. The patch panel is electrically and structurally designed according to CAT6 specifications. This means that the connectors, internal wiring, and shielding used are designed for a maximum signal bandwidth of 250 MHz. Cable categories such as CAT5, CAT5e, CAT7, and CAT8 can be mechanically connected because they use the same RJ45 connector form and wire gauge. However, with categories higher than CAT6, the additional bandwidth and shielding of those cables are not fully utilized, as the patch panel itself determines the technical upper limit. For optimal performance, the maximum certified support therefore extends to CAT6. The RJ45 ports and the metal housing are equipped with electromagnetic shielding. This shielding is intended to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) from external electrical sources, thereby minimizing signal disturbances and supporting a more stable network connection. This patch panel is suitable for passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) pass-through within a CAT6 network installation. The panel itself does not supply power and contains no active components, but it does not interrupt the PoE voltage with correct termination and cabling.
