Description

This 100 dB coaxial cable (Class A) is designed for digital satellite and cable installations within a 75 Ω coaxial network. This cable is suitable for HDTV applications via DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, and DVB-C/C2. This double-shielded construction is classified as Class A according to EN 50117 and offers high protection against electromagnetic interference. This cable complies with the CPR (Construction Products Regulation) and is classified according to fire resistance class Eca. Specifications & features • Cable type coaxial cable • Characteristic impedance 75 Ω • Shielding standard EN 50117 Class A • Protection against LTE/5G interference Class A shielding • Shielding effectiveness 100 dB • Shielding 2-fold • Shielding type 1 aluminium foil (double) • Shielding type 2 aluminium braid (128x) • Inner conductor CCS • Inner conductor diameter Ø 1.1 mm • Dielectric diameter Ø 4.8 mm • Outer diameter approx. 6.8 mm • Dielectric foamed polyethylene (foam PE) • Jacket PVC • Colour white • CPR classification Eca • Fire performance standard EN 50575 • Operating temperature -20 °C to 70 °C • Certifications CE Explanation of terms used DVB stands for Digital Video Broadcasting, the European standard for digital television. • DVB-S/S2 is used for satellite reception and typically operates in the frequency range of approximately 950–2150 MHz. • DVB-T/T2 is used for digital terrestrial television via transmission towers. • DVB-C/C2 is used for digital cable television and typically operates within 5–862 MHz or higher in modern networks. 75 Ω is the standard impedance for coaxial television and data signals. Correct impedance prevents signal reflections. EN 50117 is the European standard for coaxial cables and specifies, among other things, shielding classes and electrical performance. Class A within EN 50117 indicates a high level of shielding against electromagnetic interference, including LTE and 5G signals. 100 dB shielding effectiveness indicates the degree of suppression of external interference; the higher the value, the better the protection. Double shielding combines foil with braided shielding for optimal RF protection and mechanical stability. Foam PE is foamed polyethylene with a lower dielectric constant, which results in lower signal attenuation at higher frequencies. CPR (EU 305/2011) is the European regulation for the fire performance of cables in construction applications. EN 50575 is the harmonized standard by which cables are tested for fire performance within the CPR directive. Eca is a basic fire class within CPR and indicates that the cable meets minimum requirements for flame spread. Ask a product question
