Tool accessory tips
Choose saw blades based on material: fine teeth for hardwood and metal, coarse teeth for soft wood. HM (carbide) teeth last longer.
Sharpen drill bits regularly with a sharpening machine or replace them. A dull bit requires more force, overheats the material and gives inaccurate holes.
Always use the right drill size for the plug or screw. Too large gives no grip, too small splits the wood.

Which saw blade for wood?
For soft wood a coarse blade (10-12 teeth), for hardwood a fine blade (24-40 teeth). For laminate a special laminate blade.
How do I maintain drill bits?
Clean bits after use, remove chips. Sharpen steel bits with a grinding machine. Carbide bits cannot be sharpened and must be replaced.
What is a carbide drill bit?
A carbide bit (tungsten carbide) has a harder cutting edge than steel and is suitable for stone, concrete and metal. It lasts longer but is more brittle.
Which drill size for which plug?
The drill size is printed on the plug. Example: a 6 mm plug requires a 6 mm drill in concrete. In drywall use a smaller drill for cavity plugs.
