Melons

Melons are large, juicy fruits that grow on vines and belong to the cucumber family. They usually have a thick skin and sweet, refreshing flesh in colors such as yellow, orange or green. Well-known varieties are watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melon. Melons are often eaten fresh, especially in summer, and used in fruit salads, desserts and smoothies. They are popular for their high water content, sweet taste and refreshing nature.
