Apricots are small, round to oval stone fruits with a soft orange-yellow skin and juicy flesh. They have a sweet, slightly sour taste and contain a hard seed in the middle. Apricots are often eaten fresh, but also dried or used in jam, desserts, pastries and juices. They are popular for their soft texture, aromatic taste and high vitamin and antioxidant content.
